I really thought that Soundcloud was going to be different that all the others. For months I kept seeing advertisements about music monetization coming. Yesterday I saw them pushing this on a Facebook ad. When I took a deeper look it seems that you will be required to pay for a monthly subscription to Soundcloud in order to be eligible to have your songs monetized. In a world where artists are already paid scraps for their streams, this is a big step in the wrong direction. Just my humble opinion of course.
