I stumbled upon an article today saying that the U.S copyright royalty board is submitting to have songwriter streaming royalties increased by 44 percent. If all goes our way (our way meaning the way of artists) this would be huge step in the right direction for our streaming revenues. In all honesty, when you look at the rates below, a 44 percent increase doesn't amount to much, but at least it is a start.
Napster - $0.0167
Tidal - $0.0110
Apple Music - $0.0064
Google Play - $0.0059
Deezer - $0.0056
Spotify - $0.0038
Pandora - $0.0011
YouTube - $0.0006
